Aetare Blue Diamond

The Color of Forever

There is a color that lives between the sky and the sea. It is the color of the horizon at dusk, when the sun has dipped below the waves and the world holds its breath. It is the color of deep water, where silence is absolute and light becomes a memory. It is Blue.

The blue diamond is among the most coveted and mysterious treasures on our planet. Its color comes from an element that should not be there — Boron. Boron is a trace element found in the earth’s crust and in the oceans. It is rare but it exists, and in the most extraordinary of circumstances, boron atoms became trapped within the growing diamond’s crystal lattice. When boron is present, something magical happens. The diamond absorbs red and yellow light, allowing blue and violet wavelengths to pass through. It is, in the truest sense, a beautiful accident.

To give someone a blue diamond is to say: My love for you is as deep as the ocean. As vast as the sky, as eternal as the heavens.
